Lee-Barbadillo homer gives Alabama A&M walk-off win

HUNTSVILLE __ One swing of the bat by Tamia Lee-Barbadillo put an end to a close game between the Lady Bulldog softball team and the Lady Braves Friday afternoon, as the junior shortstop hit a walk-off, three-run home run to defeat Alcorn State in a 3-2 contest. 

Still with no hits on the board going into the final inning, Alabama A&M trailed 0-2. However, with two outs Alyssa Lopez doubled to center and Danielle Hansell drew a walk to spark life back into the stadium. With two strikes and two outs, Lee-Barbadillo hit a bomb to center to finish off the comeback. 

Eva Scott led the offensive side for Alcorn with a hit and a run scored. Ambria Dorsey (4-11) picked up the loss.

Lisabelle Hansell (9-4) picked up the win for the Bulldogs. 

These two teams will be back in action with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 27. The Lady Bulldogs will be celebrating Senior Day at 11 a.m. with game time scheduled for noon.
