Alabama A&M cheerleaders cheer at all home football games, as well as all home men's and women's basketball games. In addition to these games, the cheerleaders appear at many functions, ranging from pep rallies to alumni gatherings or other various events. Members of the Bulldog cheerleading squad are excellent ambassadors for Alabama A&M University and the Department of Athletics.

Tryouts for the cheerleading program will be held during the weekend of April 19th and 20th. Registration is on Friday April 19th at 5 p.m. with a clinic following registration starting at 6 p.m. The actual tryout will be on that Saturday morning, April 20th at 8 a.m.

All Bulldog Cheerleaders must be full-time students and maintain a 2.0 accumulative grade point average.

Cheerleading has many rewards; it is an opportunity to be a part of Alabama A&M and many athletic events. It is an opportunity to meet people of all ages and to work as a team. Cheerleading is a big commitment; we want you to realize the responsibility and commitment involved. Being a part of the Bulldog Cheerleading Squad will give you great memories of your college years.
