HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – In September of 2020, in the midst of perhaps the most challenging time in program history, Alabama A&M Athletics called upon its supporters to help its student-athletes be the best they could be with the Bulldog Strong Campaign – and those individuals responded in a huge way with contributions of $21,000-plus.
Designed to build competitive excellence across the board for all 16 programs and more than 350 student-athletes, Bulldog Strong, even in its early stages, has helped to do just that.
In the most unique season of all-time, A&M has achieved unprecedented conference, regional and national recognition with nearly every program earning individual weekly and postseason honors through the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) as well as numerous national awards.
Highlighting those accomplishments, made possible in part by Bulldog Strong supporters, are just the second undefeated season in the history of the football program, one that resulted in the first ever Historically Black College and Universities (HBCU) National Championship, men's tennis' first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance and the first College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District honoree in 29 years and first at the DI level.
These tremendous efforts are just the tip of the iceberg as Alabama A&M Athletics and its student-athletes have the potential to do even more as they impact not just wins and losses in their chosen sport, but prepare to impact the world and community they live in as a result of the opportunity to gain a first-class education through their athletic and academic abilities.
While Bulldog Athletics would like to thank all that have already given and recognize the individuals below that have contributed at the Bulldog and Maroon Level, we'd like to extend the opportunity for others to share in the success of this highly dedicated and decorated group of individuals.
To that end, Alabama A&M Athletics is setting a goal of $50,000 by September 1, all of which will allow staff to recruit the best and brightest and go towards providing the best student-athlete experience possible during their time in Huntsville.
While that goal is several months away, a much closer date is on the horizon as coaches will be allowed to resume recruiting activities by the NCAA on June 1, a key date for continuing to elevate every program.
You still have the chance to contribute to that success by donating through the
Bulldog Strong Campaign at any level that you feel comfortable with. All contributions help make a difference as we seek to elevate the entire Athletic Department and continue to strive to help shape the lives of our student-athletes at this critical time in their lives.
Any amount of support is appreciated but the following levels come with Bulldog incentives, topping out at the Bulldog Level of $1,000 or more. At this level supporters will receive on court or field, website and program recognition, while the Maroon Level ($500 to $999) will include representation in game programs and on
www.AAMUSports.com, the official online home of Bulldog Athletics. The White Level ($250 to $499) includes program acknowledgement.
