Garrett Hicks scored a team-high 20 points to help the Alabama A&M men's basketball team extend their win streak to three games with a 63-59 win over Lipscomb University on Friday evening in Huntsville, Ala.
The Bulldogs improve to 3-5, 0-0 SWAC, while the Bisons fall to 6-3, 0-0 ASUN.
AAMU got off to a quick start and led 7-4 with 17:39 remaining in the first half. LU responded with a 20-2 run taking the lead 24-9 with 8:02 remaining before the intermission. Alabama A&M began to chip away and cut the lead to 30-24 going into the locker rooms behind eight points from Hicks (Madison, Ala.).
The second-half saw the Bulldogs continue their comeback effort, taking the lead at 46-44 with 7:58 remaining in the game. AAMU would build their largest lead of the game at 60-50 with just 2:03 and would hold on for the 63-59 victory.

After trailing 24-9 halfway through the first half, Alabama A&M would outscore Lipscomb 54-35 the rest of the way on their way to the 63-59 victory.
Individual Leaders
Hicks led the Bulldogs with a team-high 20 points (9-of-14) shooting including (2-of-6) from behind the arc and grabbed five rebounds, while senior
Cameron Tucker (Birmingham, Ala.) finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Junior
Omari Peek (Cincinnati, Ohio) came off the bench and chipped in with 11 points.
The Bison were led by Trae Benham who finished with a game-high 22 points in the losing effort.
