JACKSON, Miss. – Alabama A&M (2-4, 2-0 SWAC) continued their strong start in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play as they notched a second consecutive sweep as they defeated Grambling (0-5, 0-1 SWAC) 4-0 in an NCAA Division I women's tennis match on Saturday, February 19.
 
Freshman 
Deja Brown (Spring Valley, Calif.) and senior 
India Woods (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) delivered a dominant 6-0 victory over Ana Ochoa and Takudzwa Mawisire at No. 3 doubles and senior 
Jasmine Boyd (Marion, Ind.) and junior 
Neha Ghare (Pune, India) matched that at No. 1 as they downed Brittney Combest and Lungile Ntuli.
 
After notching the doubles point the Bulldogs went to work in singles play as Boyd posted a hard fought 6-3, 6-3 decision over Combest while junior 
Camila Ruiz Diaz (Asuncion, Paraguay) notched a 6-4, 6-0 win over Claire Machisa at the four spot. Ghare would then close out the 4-0 victory with a 7-5, 6-3 battle with Mawisire the No. 5.
 
The Bulldogs wrap up the SWAC Pod tomorrow, Sunday, February 20 as they take on Grambling as part of the SWAC Pod in Jackson, Mississippi.
