Alabama A&M Athletics Remembers 9/11; We Will Never Forget

On this, the 21st anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Alabama A&M Athletics joins with the rest of the United States of America in remembering those who lost their lives, many in the line of duty, at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

We invite you to join us in honoring the heroes who live on in spirit and shall never be forgotten.

Let Us Not Forget
"Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve. America was targeted for attack because we are the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining."
- President George W. Bush, September 11, 2001

"Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children"
- President George W. Bush, November 11, 2001

"Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11."
- Former President Barack Obama
