HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University Department of Athletics announced Maroon Madness will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23 at the Event Center.
The event will have a midnight madness feel and highlight the Bulldog men's and women's basketball squads as they get ready to hit the floor for the upcoming 2023-24 campaign.
All AAMU students and fans are encouraged to attend the evening event. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the event beginning at 7 p.m.
After the Bulldog basketball teams are introduced, the players will compete in a 3-point contest followed by a dunk contest and short scrimmages for both teams.
The event is free and open to both AAMU students and the general public. The first 100 fans to enter the Event Center will receive a free shirt.
The Alabama A&M men's basketball program opens the season with an exhibition game on Monday, Nov. 6 against Oakwood. Tip-off against the Ambassadors is set for 7 p.m. at the Event Center.
The Bulldog women begin their season on the same night, visiting UAB. Tip-off against the Blazers is set for 2 p.m.
