NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Alabama A&M (2-3, 0-0 SWAC) dropped games against Bradley, 6-1, and Tennessee State, 12-4, as part of the Roar City Classic, held at Tiger Field on Saturday afternoon.

Bradley 6, Alabama A&M 1
After a pair of scoreless innings to start the game, Bradley got on the board first with two hits in the third, scoring on an RBI double midway through the frame.

The Bulldogs responded in the bottom of the fourth, starting with a single from
Venice Sanders (Birmingham, Ala.), who later scored off a wild pitch to tie the ball game at 1-1.

Neither team added to their totals in the fifth, before Bradley put the game away in the sixth. After a double and bunt single to open the frame, B Sample hit a three-run homer to make the score 4-1, before added another pair of runs before the close of the inning to take the 6-1 win.

Sanders was the lone Bulldog with multiple hits in the game, going 2-for-3 from the plate and scoring a run.
Paige Scott (British Columbia, Canada) picked up the loss on the mound, pitching all seven innings and allowing nine hits and six runs, while striking out seven batters.

Tennessee State 12, Alabama A&M 4
The Bulldogs faced host school Tennessee State in game two on Saturday, trailing 3-0 early after the first two innings.

A&M got on the board in the third as
Allyson Riches (San Diego, Calif.) opened the frame with a single up the middle and later scored on an RBI single from Sanders before the end of the inning.

Riches started off the fifth in a similar fashion, before
Zahria Jones (Huntsville, Ala.) singled down the left field line to bring home Riches for the second time in the game. From there, Sanders picked up her second RBI with a single to bring in
Taylor Woods (Decatur, Ala.), who walked earlier in the inning. The Bulldogs added their final run on a groundout from
Faith Cross (Pulaski, Tenn.) that allowed Jones to score to make the score 4-3.

Tennessee State broke the game open in the bottom half of the fifth, exploding for five runs on four hits in the frame, followed by another four runs on a pair of hits to close out the game for the 12-4 final.

Riches finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of runs, while Cross, Jones, and Sanders all earned two hits in the game.

Sydney Hall (Ardmore, Ala.) picked up the loss against the Tigers, working 4.1 innings and allowing eight runs on 11 hits, while striking out a pair of batters. Meanwhile,
Krista Sikes (Russellville, Ala.) came in for relief, pitching one innings and allowing four runs.

Alabama A&M will remain in Nashville on Sunday to conclude weekend play as they face North Alabama inside of Tiger Field, set for a 2 p.m. start.
