HUNTSVILLE, Ala. __ An all-around team effort led Alabama A&M to a 10-2 victory against Stillman on Tuesday afternoon for their home opener at the Bulldog Baseball Field.

At the plate, the Tigers tallied 10 runs on 11 hits in the ball game on 32 at-bats, while the pitching trio of
Jason Garcia (Miami, Fla.),
Tyler Campbell (Albuquerque, N.M.), and
Dustin Hernandez (Rayne, La.) allowed just two runs and five hits and struck out eight on the mound.
Jared Tribett (Lumberton, Miss.) and
Tommy Easley (Acworth, Ga.) led the way from the plate, going a combined 7-for-9 with five RBI and five runs scored. Tribett went a perfect 4-for-4 with three scores and two RBI, while Easley finished 3-for-5, also with three scores and two RBI.

Alabama A&M (5-4) jumped out to an early lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first. After a pair of walks drawn from
Chevalier Dorris (Raymond, Miss.) and
Chandler Stocking (Midway, Utah), Dorris crossed the plate on a passed ball before an. RBI single from Tribett to bring home Stocking.

Jalen Parker (Marietta, Ga.) gave the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead in the second, the second score off a passed ball, after loading the bases.

Garcia (1-0) earned the win in his first start of the year, pitching the first three innings and retiring nine of the 10 batters he faced, with a pair of strikeouts.

Stillman (8-1) was able to get on the scoreboard in the top of fourth, as Campbell came in at the start of the frame in relief. After giving up a single, followed by another reaching base on a fielder's choice, an RBI double from the Tigers made it a 3-1 game heading into home half of the inning.

The Bulldogs extended their lead with two more runs in the fourth, as Dorris scored again, this time on an RBI double from Easley, followed by a triple from Tribett to bring home Easley.

A&M added another run in the sixth, followed by four in the seventh as Tribett brought home Easley for the second time. In the bottom of the seventh,
Jalen Ford (Birmingham, Ala.) drew a walk to get on and later scored, followed by an RBI single from Easley to score
Mekhi Lloyd (Decatur, Ga.). The Bulldogs tacked on two more before the close of the frame to extend their lead to nine.

Campbell turned it over to Hernandez midway through the eighth, as he worked the remaining 1.1 innings of play and gave up just one run and struck out three to close out the contest.
