TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Alabama A&M fell behind in the first inning and couldn't make up the difference in an 16-8 loss to Florida A&M in the series finale at Moore-Kittles Field on Sunday.

Sparked by seven home runs in the contest, Florida A&M's 16 runs came on 17 hits, including 10 for extra bases.

The Rattlers jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning with a pair of homers and an RBI single, before extending the lead to 7-0 with another two homers in the second.

Alabama A&M got on the scoreboard in the top of the third with a bases loaded walk, drawn by Jared Tribett. Jalen Parker drove in Chandler Stocking for the second run with a sacrifice fly to center before the close of the frame.

Florida A&M carried its hot bats in the fourth and fifth, with three more bombs to take a 13-2 lead, before the Bulldogs began to claw back into the game.

Kenny Glover drove in both Tommy Easley and Chevalier Dorris in the seventh with a single to center field to cut the lead to 13-4, followed by a rally in the eighth that included an RBI single from Stocking, a score on a wild pitch, and another bases loaded walk, this time from Parker to make the score 13-8 before three final runs form Florida A&M before the end of the contest.
