DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. __ The Alabama A&M Bowling team had a successful weekend as they took part in the 2023 TNBA/HBCU Invitational in Douglasville, finishing in fourth place in the competition.

With the fourth-place finish, the Bulldogs earned their best finish in a competition since 2014 and came within a strike of Texas Southern from going undefeated on opening day. Finishing 7-5 at the conclusion of play, A&M (11,638) landed slightly behind Texas Southern at 11,804 pints, while just ahead of Florida A&M with a total pin count of 11,305.

Five Bulldogs landed in the top 40 individually, led by freshman
Rose Ugbinada with high games of 201 and 206 with a 188.60 average along with placing fourth and making the All-Tournament team for the second time in a month.

A pair of seniors also finished in the top 25, as
Nariya Jackson finished 16th with an average of 175.40, followed by
Montaya Walton at 22nd with a 161.60 average, while sophomore Tamyra Jones (159.40) and freshman
Asya Wright (143.25) finished out the Bulldog bowlers at 24th and 39th respectively.
