ITTA BENA, Miss. __ Alabama A&M baseball dropped all three games of the road trip over the weekend, with the last two games finishing on Sunday with the Bulldogs falling 13-7 and 10-7 in the series finale.

A&M and Mississippi Valley first completed the final two innings of game two to start the day, finishing in a 13-7 win for the home team. The Delta Devils added three runs in the seventh and a run in the eighth, totaling 12 hits in the contest to secure the series win.

The Bulldogs got on the board first again in game three in the first inning when Chevy Dorris grounded out to drive in leadoff hitter
Jalen Ford, who reached on an error, scoring the opening run.

MVSU took their first lead in the bottom half of the frame, with a two-run bomb to right field for a 2-1 advantage, before Alabama A&M knotted the game up at in the top of the second inning with another RBI groundout, this time from
Jared Tribett, who brought home
Chandler Stocking.

The Delta Devils pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Maury Weaver singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Chris Soeder drew a walk, scoring one run, and Davon Mims singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. They later added another run in the fourth to gain a 7-2 edge.

A&M continued to fight, reducing the deficit in the fifth with a pair of runs. Ford got on first with a one-out walk and scored on the next at-bat on a triple from
Mekhi Lloyd, who then scored on a sacrifice fly from
Tommy Easley to make the score 7-4. After the Bulldogs scored two runs in the top of the eighth, Mississippi Valley State answered with two of their own. The Bulldogs scored one run on an error and another on an Easley sac fly for the second. The Delta Devils then answered when with a RBI double, scoring one run, followed by an RBI triple before the close of the inning.

Anthony Mateo was on the pitcher's mound for Alabama A&M University. The right hander went three innings, allowing seven runs on eight hits and striking out two.
Noah Whitted and
Dimitri Stamatopoulos entered the game in relief, throwing three and two innings respectively.

The Delta Devils tallied 14 hits, with three batters with multiple hits in the game.
Brandon Edwards went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Alabama A&M, who totaled six total hits in the loss.

The Bulldogs will travel for another conference series next weekend as they face Bethune-Cookman at the Jackie Robinson Ballpark, starting Friday, May 6 at 6 p.m.
