HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Alabama A&M University Director of Athletics, Dr. Paul A. Bryant, announced on Tuesday the promotion of Kristol Williams as the Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement.
"I am elated to see the maturation of Ms. Williams," Bryant said. "She has done a phenomenal job at creating new partnerships that generated significant revenue for the department."
Williams has been a valuable member of the athletics external affairs team and was responsible for securing more than $800,000 in 2023 for AAMU Athletics Capital projects.
"I am thrilled to embrace my new title as Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement and exciting opportunities it brings. This change represents a significant milestone in my professional journey, and I am grateful for the trust and confidence placed in me by our Athletic Director Dr. Paul A Bryant," Williams said. "Working for the university, student-athletes, and alumni has been truly rewarding. In the time I have spent here, I have learned what a truly unique place Huntsville is. I'm excited to have the opportunity to continue to grow the Alabama A&M Athletics brand."
The Fairbanks, Alaska native has already made a significant contribution to the department of athletics, with various major sponsor projects, including new LED scoreboards, Kennel Kommunity, AAMU On the Hill live pregame show and 2023 XXL Homecoming, along with many more initiatives.
Williams is an active member in National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) professional organization, an affiliate of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and has participated as at their annual conference.
Williams earned her undergrad degree in business from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2007. She continued her education at Strayer University, earning her MPA in Public Administration in 2009.
