Bulldogs Return to Action Versus Buffaloes

THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team returns to the court and will be seeking its second consecutive win to begin the season as the Bulldogs play host to Arkansas Baptist on Monday night at the AAMU Event Center. Tip-off against the Buffaloes is set for 7 p.m.

Alabama A&M (1-0) began the 2024-25 season with a 121-78 rout of Oakwood at the AAMU Event Center last Thursday. The Bulldogs reached the century mark for just the fifth time during the NCAA Division I era and first time since defeating Talladega, 100-79 in 2011. In addition, the 121 points were a Division I school record, surpassing 108 set against Prairie View A&M in 2006 and the 43-point victory was the largest margin win in program history.

The Bulldogs had five players in double figures, led by Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) First Team selection Chad Moodie, who poured in 13 points and five rebounds.

Arkansas Baptist (2-2) opened the season with a loss to Philander Smith, but picked up back-to-back wins over Rust and Wiley, before falling to Little Rock, 84-64, last Monday.

Tip-off for Monday's game is set for 7 p.m. at the AAMU Event Center and streamed on Bulldogs All-Access.

Alabama A&M closes out its season-opening three-game homestand on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. contest against Fisk at the AAMU Event Center.
