THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team looks to end its two-game losing streak and extend its home winning streak on Saturday as the Bulldogs welcome rivalry Alabama State in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game. Tip-off against the Hornets is scheduled for 4 p.m. from the AAMU Event Center and streamed on the SWAC Digital Network.

th installment of the rivalry, Alabama A&M (6-11 overall, 2-2 SWAC), which opened conference play with back-to-back home victories, is seeking its fourth straight victory at home over Alabama State. In addition, the Bulldogs are looking to string together back-to-back wins over its rival for the first time since the 2015-16 seasons.
The Bulldogs come into the contest riding a two-game losing streak after suffering setbacks to Alcorn State and Jackson State.
Alabama A&M went toe-to-toe with Jackson State on Monday, falling 103-93 in triple overtime. In a game that featured 18 lead changes and 17 ties, neither team had more than a six-point advantage in regulation.
AC Bryant had a career night despite the loss at JSU. The junior guard from Shreveport, La. finished with career highs in points (39), field goals made (13), field goals attempted (21), 3-pointers made (6) and field goals attempted (10) and rebounds (10).
Alabama A&M is averaging 76.4 points per game and shooting 41.4 percent from the field.
The Bulldogs rank fourth nationally in offensive rebounds per game and eighth in turnovers forced per game.
AC Bryant leads two Bulldog players in double figures, averaging 14.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals, while
Chad Moodie has posted 11.6 points, 5.5 boards, 1.8 blocks, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
Alabama State (6-11, 2-2) is seeking their first road win of the season after dropping back-to-back games to Jackson State and Alcorn State.
The Hornets held a slim 62-61 lead with 1:26 remaining on a pair of free throws by Amarr Knox, but the Braves outscored ASU, 5-3, during the final stretch and survived a 3-pointer attempt at the buzzer by Knox to pick up the win.
Alabama State shot 36.1 percent (22-of-61) at Alcorn State and was 10-of-17 (58.8 percent) from the foul line.
Knox leads three ASU players in double figures at 15.2 points, 2.8 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. CJ Hines is averaging 15.1 points, 3.0 boards, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals, while TJ Madlock has tallied 10.5 points, 5.4 boards and 2.5 assists.
Alabama State is shooting 42.1 percent from the floor and averaging 76.7 points per game.
The Hornets rank 11
th the country in turnovers per game and three-point attempts per game.
After Saturday's game rivalry game, Alabama A&M will continue its three-game homestand the following Saturday (Jan. 25) as the Bulldogs play host to Texas Southern. Tip-off against the Tigers is set for 4 p.m. from the AAMU Event Center and streamed on Bulldogs All-Access.
