THE HILL | The Alabama A&M women's basketball team closes out its non-conference slate on Saturday afternoon in the 4 Tha Culture Holiday Classic against Richmond at the Henrico Sports & Events Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m. (CT) and streamed on ESPN+.
The Bulldogs enter the contest 4–7 overall after picking up a 72–57 victory over North Alabama on Wednesday night. Richmond, riding a two-game winning streak, is 9-3 and coming off an 81-45 win on Tuesday.
Alabama A&M Notes
Alabama A&M has received balanced production throughout the lineup this season.
Kalia Walker missed some time earlier in the season but has started to warm up offensively, averaging 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
Coriah Beck is averaging 11.2 points, 4.4 boards and 1.8 assists, but has been sidelined over the past few games.
Moses Davenport is shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor and averaging 9.6 points and 5.1 boards.
The Bulldogs will look to continue improving defensively while emphasizing rebounding and ball control during this neutral site matchup.
Scouting Richmond
Richmond has won four out of its last five games and has already one game under league play as the Spiders defeated Loyola Chicago, 69-46, on December 3.
Maggie Doogan leads Richmond offensively, registered nearly a double-double of 23.4 points and 9.0 rebounds, while Rachel Ullstrom is averaging 13.9 points and 5.7 boards.
