THE HILL | Football is officially back on The Hill after three months away as the Bulldogs begin their annual slate of spring practices on Tuesday.
 
Alabama A&M begins its path to the 2025 season, featuring new head coach Sam Shade, with 15 practices this spring, culminating with the annual Maroon and White Spring Game scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Louis Crews Stadium.
 
Shade enters his first season at Alabama A&M University as the Bulldogs went 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) last year. Approximately 90 players will be available to compete in the spring.
 
Alabama A&M recently completed a 2025 signing class of 32 student-athletes, including 17 that will be in uniform this spring.
 
The Bulldogs open the 2025 season on the road against Arkansas on August 30 at Donald K. Reynolds Razorbacks Stadium and will play its first home game the following week (Sept. 6) in the Louis Crews Classic against Alcorn State.
