DALLAS | Rose Ugbinada was named to the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament team after the Alabama A&M University bowling team rounded out the 2025 SWAC Women's Bowling Conference Championship.
AAMU dropped both the traditional and baker matches to Prairie View A&M with 938-904 and 884-857 respective scores in round one. Ugbinada paced the Maroon and White in the round, rolling a 226 in the traditional round.
After falling to the Panthers, the Bulldogs topped Jackson State in the losers bracket, defeating the Tigers 909-825 in the traditional round and 928-891 in the bakers. Alexis Orchard paced the Bulldogs in the competition (202 pins) while Nila Dulcio rolled a 231 in the baker. AAMU fell to Alabama State in the following round to complete competition.
Ugbinada led the entire championship in total pins, rolling 438 pins and landing on the tournament team after her performance. Orchard and Dulcio both placed in the top 10 of performers over the weekend as well.
