First Half
Alabama A&M got off to a strong start, using inside scoring and transition buckets to take an early edge. Dozier and Davis attacked the paint, and Louis Hutchinson knocked down a fast-break three to help the Bulldogs build momentum. A late three by Dozier in the waning moments of the period gave A&M a 46–36 lead at intermission.
Second Half
The Bulldogs continued their offensive rhythm out of the locker room. Early in the second period, Alabama A&M extended its lead behind strong finishes at the rim and effective ball movement, pushing the advantage into double figures. Alabama A&M's defense held Prairie View A&M (8-13, 3-5) scoreless from long range in the second half while limiting second-chance opportunities.
Midway through the half, a fast-break layup by Davis and a three-pointer from
Gabe Kincy sparked a decisive run that put the game out of reach. The Bulldogs' largest lead of the day came at 29 points before closing out the contest.
