Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Bulldogs Pick up First Win at PVAMU Since 2014

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas | The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team led by 10 points at the half and did not let up as the Bulldogs ended a 10-game losing streak at Prairie View A&M, defeating the Panthers, 80-60, on Tuesday afternoon in a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) game at the William J. Nicks Building.

Alabama A&M (11-9 overall, 4-3 SWAC) hadn't won in Prairie View, Texas since a 72-65 victory on March 1, 2014. All that came to an end on Tuesday afternoon as the Bulldogs led 46-36 at the break and cruised during the final 20 minutes to pick up the road win.

Kintavious Dozier led four Alabama A&M players in double figures with 19 points, on 7-for-11 shooting, along with three boards, one assist and one steal. Koron Davis posted 16 points and seven boards, while Sami Pissis added 11 points and a team-high five assists. PJ Eason chipped in 10 points and three blocks.

Tai'Reon Joseph paced Prairie View A&M with 15 points, while Dontae Horne added 14 points, four boards and four assists. Keeshawn Mason recorded 11 points and nine boards.

First Half
Alabama A&M got off to a strong start, using inside scoring and transition buckets to take an early edge. Dozier and Davis attacked the paint, and Louis Hutchinson knocked down a fast-break three to help the Bulldogs build momentum. A late three by Dozier in the waning moments of the period gave A&M a 46–36 lead at intermission.

Second Half
The Bulldogs continued their offensive rhythm out of the locker room. Early in the second period, Alabama A&M extended its lead behind strong finishes at the rim and effective ball movement, pushing the advantage into double figures. Alabama A&M's defense held Prairie View A&M (8-13, 3-5) scoreless from long range in the second half while limiting second-chance opportunities.

Midway through the half, a fast-break layup by Davis and a three-pointer from Gabe Kincy sparked a decisive run that put the game out of reach. The Bulldogs' largest lead of the day came at 29 points before closing out the contest.
