THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University women's basketball team will look to continue its winning streak as the Bulldogs will welcome Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M for a pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games at the AAMU Event Center.
Tip-off for Thursday's game is 6 p.m., and 2 p.m. on Saturday, with both games being streamed on SWAC TV.
Alabama A&M extended its winning streak to six straight games after opening the season with a road loss to Mississippi Valley State. Since that loss, the Bulldogs have been on fire, winning three of the six games by more than 20 points and will enter off an 81-63 victory last Saturday at Texas Southern.
Bethune-Cookman, seeking its first road win of the season (0-9), enters the matchup riding a six-game losing streak as the Wildcats fell 52-46 last Saturday at home to Jackson State.
Florida A&M, which is 1-9 away from home, will visit Alabama State on Thursday before traveling to Huntsville on Saturday. The Rattlers have won four out of their last six games but are coming on a 61-48 loss at home to Alcorn State last Saturday.

Alabama A&M is averaging 62.6 points per game and shooting just over 39.0 percent from the floor.
Kalia Walker, the SWAC's Player of the Week, is registering 13.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals, while
Moses Davenport is right behind her at 10.4 points, 5.9 boards and 1.0 steals per game.
The Bulldogs ranked tops in the conference in numerous categories, including field goal percentage, free-throw attempts per game (19
th nationally), free-throws made per game (38
th nationally), rebound margin, scoring defense and scoring margin.
Scouting Bethune-Cookman
The Wildcats are shooting nearly 35.0 percent from the floor and averaging 54.8 points per game.
Daimoni Dorsey leads the offense at 8.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals. Kailyn Peterson and Alexandria Johnson are posting 6.9 points per game.
Tyler Butler ranks second in the conference in blocks and blocks per game.
Scouting Florida A&M
The Rattlers are averaging 57.5 points and shooting 35.2 percent from the floor.
Camille Jackson leads three FAMU players in double figures, averaging 11.5 points, 4.7 boards, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals. Shaniyah McCarthy is posting 11.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists, while Tahnyjia Purifoy is registering 10.7 points, 3.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals.
Florida A&M ranks tops in the SWAC in free-throw percentage, while Purifoy leads the league in free throws and is second in free-throw percentage.
Bethune-Cookman Series History
This will be the 12
th meeting between the two programs as Alabama A&M leads the all-time series, 8-3.
The Bulldogs have won five straight over the Wildcats, including sweeping the season series last year. The last Bethune-Cookman win came in 2023 – a 55-46 victory in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Florida A&M Series History
This will be the 10
th meeting between the Bulldogs and Rattlers as Alabama A&M has owned the series, winning eight of the previous nine games.
The Bulldogs' lone defeat in the series came in 2023 – a 69-67 overtime loss in Tallahassee, Fla.
