THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team returns home for a pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games as the Bulldogs will play host to Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman.
Tip-off on Saturday for the Coaches vs. Cancer/Suits vs. Sneakers game against the Rattlers is set for 4 p.m. at the AAMU Event Center. The Bulldogs will welcome Bethune-Cookman to the AAMU Event Center on Monday for a 7 p.m. contest. Both games will be streamed on SWAC TV.
Alabama A&M returns from its Texas road trip, splitting the two conference games. The Bulldogs got back into the win column on Tuesday, rolling past Prairie View A&M, 80-60.
Florida A&M, 2-8 on the road, saw its five-game winning streak snapped on Monday with a 66-65 home loss to Jackson State. The setback knocked the Rattlers from the top spot in the league standings.
Bethune-Cookman, 3-8 on the road this season, will visit Alabama State on Saturday before making the trip to AAMU on Monday. The Wildcats have won four straight and have not lost a contest since a 77-73 defeat to Southern on Jan. 12.
Bulldogs at a Glance
Alabama A&M comes into the weekend averaging 71.4 points and shooting 43.2 percent.
Kintavious Dozier leads three AAMU players in double figures at 15.9 points, while
Koron Davis and
Sami Pissis is averaging 13.2 and 12.4 points, respectively.

The Rattlers are averaging just over 69.0 points and shooting 43.6 percent from the floor.
Jaquan Sanders paces the FAMU offense at 13.0 points, 3.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 steals, while Tyler Shirley is averaging 10.5 points, 4.9 boards and 2.3 assists per game.
Scouting Bethune-Cookman
The Wildcats are shooting 45.5 percent from the floor and averaging 74.6 points per game.
Jakobi Heady paces five BCU players in double figures at 17.2 points, 4.7 boards, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals. Arterio Morris is posting 11.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.7 steals, while Daniel Rouzan is averaging 11.1 points, 4.2 boards and 1.3 assists. Doctor Bradley and Quentin Heady are registering 11.2 and 10.3 points, respectively.
Bethune-Cookman leads the SWAC In numerous categories, including blocks per game (44
th nationally), effective field goal percentage, field goal percentage and fouls per game.
Florida A&M Series History
This will be the 10
th meeting between the Rattlers and Bulldogs as Alabama A&M leads the all-time series, 5-4.
The Rattlers have won three out of the past five meetings, but the Bulldogs won the last matchup, a 77-66 victory on Feb. 24, 2025 in Huntsville.
Bethune-Cookman Series History
This will be the 28
th meeting between the two programs as Bethune-Cookman leads the all-time series, 18-9.
The Wildcats have won three straight in the series, including a 68-64 victory at the AAMU Event Center on Feb. 22, 2025. The last Alabama A&M victory came on Feb. 5, 2024 – a 72-68 win in Huntsville.
