THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team returns home for a pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games as the Bulldogs play host to Alcorn State on Saturday and Jackson State on Monday.
Tip-off for Saturday's game is scheduled for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday from the AAMU Event Center as both games are streamed on SWAC TV.
Alabama A&M comes into the weekend having won seven of eight games in the AAMU Event Center. The Bulldogs picked up their first conference win and snapped an eight-game road losing streak on Monday with a 71-51 victory over Mississippi Valley State.
Alcorn State is seeking its first road win of the season as the Braves enter on a loss to Jackson State to begin SWAC play. ASU is 0-11 this season in road contests.
Jackson State will visit Alabama State on Saturday before traveling to Huntsville on Monday. The Tigers began the conference slate with an 89-86 victory over Alcorn State, which ended a six-game losing streak. JSU is 1-9 away from home this season.

Alabama A&M comes into the weekend averaging 69.2 points and shooting 41.5 percent.
Kintavious Dozier leads three AAMU players in double figures at 14.9 points, while

The Tigers are shooting 37.7 percent from the floor and averaging 60.0 points per game.
Daeshun Ruffin leads three JSU players in double figures at 19.0 points, 4.1 assists, 1.8 boards and 1.3 steals. Jayme Mitchell Jr. is averaging 13.3 points and 3.7 rebounds, while Dorian McMillion is posting 10.8 points, 4.6 boards, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals.
Jackson State is the leader in the SWAC in three-point attempts per game and second in three-pointers per game.
Alcorn State Series History
This will be the 43
rd meeting between the Braves and Bulldogs as Alcorn State leads the all-time series, 22-20.
The Braves have won six out of the last seven in the series, with the last Bulldogs win coming on March 13, 2024 – a 75-63 victory in the SWAC Men's Basketball Tournament.

st meeting between the two programs as Jackson State leads the all-time series, 27-13
