KENNESAW, Ga. | Amad Gardner finished tied for 21st individually as the Alabama A&M University men's golf team concluded The Scrappy at Pinetree on Tuesday at Pinetree Country Club.
 
Alabama A&M placed 11th with a three-round total of 917 (+53). The Bulldogs posted rounds of 311 and 297 on Monday before closing with a 309 (+21) on the par-72 course.
 
Gardner paced Alabama A&M at 220 (+4), following rounds of 71 and 73 with a final-round 76.
 
Griffin Burns finished tied for 49th at 227 (+11) after rounds of 80, 68 and 79. His 4-under-par second round was the Bulldogs' lowest of the tournament.
 
Samuel Boddie carded three consecutive rounds of 77 to finish tied for 57th at 231 (+15). Kourey Patterson closed with a 77, his best round of the tournament, to place 67th at 239 (+23). Parker Sawatzky also recorded his lowest round Tuesday, shooting an 82 to finish 69th at 261 (+45).
 
Host Kennesaw State captured the team championship at 863 (-1), posting rounds of 294, 280 and 289 to finish eight strokes ahead of UT Martin at 871 (+7). IU Indy placed third at 876 (+12), followed by Georgia State at 877 (+13), Samford at 878 (+14) and Florida A&M at 879 (+15).
 
Georgia State's Cameron Jackson earned individual medalist honors at 211 (-5), recording rounds of 68, 70 and 73. Alabama's Michael Crocker, competing as an individual, finished one stroke back at 212 (-4). Kennesaw State's Alejandro Caraballo and Florida A&M's Sascha Robinson tied for third at 214 (-2).
