THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team returns home for a pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games as the Bulldogs look to build off a road win on Monday at Grambling State.
 
AAMU will play host to Mississippi Valley State during the Love & Basketball/Greek Night game on Saturday, followed by the Black History Celebration/Military & Local Heroes Night on Monday as the Bulldogs welcome Arkansas-Pine Bluff to the AAMU Event Center.
 
Tip-off for Saturday's game against the Delta Devils is set for 4 p.m., while Monday's contest against the Golden Lions will begin at 7 p.m. Both games will be streamed on SWAC TV.
 
Alabama A&M returns home having split a pair of road games. The Bulldogs opened the road trip with a loss to Southern before holding off Grambling State to end a two-game losing streak.
 
Mississippi Valley State, 0-13 on the road this season, is seeking its first conference win of the season after falling 74-66 to Alcorn State on Monday. The Delta Devils will arrive in Huntsville riding a 22-game losing streak.
 
Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 5-11 on the road this season, will visit Alabama State on Saturday before coming to the AAMU Event Center on Monday. The Golden Lions are riding a five-game winning streak and have not lost since Jan. 19 – an 87-82 defeat at home to Bethune-Cookman.

Kintavious Dozier leads three AAMU players in double figures at 15.4 points, while Koron Davis and Sami Pissis is averaging 13.8 and 12.1 points, respectively.

Michael James paces the MVSU offense, averaging 21.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.7 steals, while Daniel Mayfield is posting 13.4 points, 6.5 boards and 1.5 assists.
 
James leads the conference in several categories, including field goal attempts (third nationally), minutes per game (10^th nationally), field goals (12^th nationally), points (19^th nationally) and free-throw percentage (20^thnationally).

The Golden Lions are shooting 45.1 percent from the floor and averaging 78.4 points per game.
 
Quion Williams leads five UAPB players in double figures at 18.0 points, 7.9 boards, 5.9 assists and 1.7 steals. Jaquan Scott is posting 15.3 points and 6.8 rebounds, while Alex Mirhosseini and Milhan Charles are each averaging 11.3 points. Trevon Payton is recording 10.2 points per game.
 
Arkansas-Pine Bluff leads the league in assists per game and effective field goal percentage, while Williams is tops in the conference in triple doubles (third nationally), assists (26^th nationally), assists per game (28^thnationally)
 
Mississippi Valley State Series History
This will be the 45^th meeting between the Bulldogs and Delta Devils as Alabama A&M leads the all-time series, 27-17.
 
Alabama A&M has won 10 straight in the series and will be seeking to compete a season sweep of MVSU. The last Delta Devils victory against AAMU came on Feb. 10, 2020 – a 67-61 win in Itta Bena, Miss.
 
The Bulldogs are 14-8 at home in the series, with the last loss coming on Jan. 13, 2020 – a 72-66 defeat.
 
Arkansas-Pine Bluff Series History
This will be the 49^th meeting between the two programs as Arkansas-Pine Bluff leads the all-time series, 27-22.
 
The Golden Lions ended an 11-game losing streak to the Bulldogs with a 95-83 victory on Jan. 3, 2026. Prior to that win, UAPB had not defeated AAMU since a 69-60 victory on Feb. 11, 2019.
