THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team returns to the road one final time during the regular season as the Bulldogs will visit Florida A&M on Thursday and Bethune-Cookman on Saturday in a pair of Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) games.
Tip-off for Thursday night's contest is set for 7:30 p.m. from the Al Lawson Center and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday from Moore Gymnasium in Daytona Beach, Fla. Both games will be streamed on SWAC TV.
Alabama A&M, 4-7 on the road, is riding a three-game winning streak, including splitting the season series over Arkansas-Pine Bluff as the Bulldogs rolled to an 82-70 victory on Monday night at the AAMU Event Center.
Florida A&M, 6-3 at home this season, has won two out of its last three games, including an 86-78 road victory over Alcorn State on Monday.
Bethune-Cookman, 8-1 at home this season, has dropped the past two games (losing to Jackson State and Alcorn State) and will look to end their losing streak as the Wildcats play host to Alabama State on Thursday before Alabama A&M visits Moore Gymnasium on Saturday.

Kintavious Dozier leads three AAMU players in double figures at 15.7 points, while

Jaquan Sanders leads three FAMU players in double figures at 11.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds, while Tyler Shirley is registering 10.9 points, 4.9 boards and 2.2 assists. Micah Octave is posting 10.5 points, 7.4 boards and 2.5 steals.
Scouting Bethune-Cookman
The Wildcats are shooting 45.7 percent from the floor and averaging 74.7 points per game.
Jakobi Heady leads five BCU players in double figures, averaging 17.7 points, 5.0 boards, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals. Daniel Rouzan and Arterio Morris are posting 11.6 and 11.3 points, along with 5.0 and 4.0 rebounds, respectively. Doctor Bradley is registered 11.9 points and 7.5 boards, while Quentin Heady is posting 10.0 points.
Bethune-Cookman leads the league in blocks per game (35
th nationally), field goal percentage, defensive rebounds per game and three-points percentage defense. Jakobi Heady is tops in the conference in field goal percentage and second in free throws.
Florida A&M Series History
This will be the 11
th meeting between the two programs as Alabama A&M leads the series, 6-4.
The Bulldogs will be seeking a season sweep of the Rattlers, having defeated FAMU, 72-65, on Jan. 31 in Huntsville.
Alabama A&M is 2-2 in games played in Tallahassee, Fla. and the last win coming on Jan. 28, 2023 – a 61-56 victory.
Bethune-Cookman Series History
This will be the 29
th meeting between the Bulldogs and Wildcats as Bethune-Cookman leads the all-time series, 19-9.
The Wildcats have won four straight in the series and are looking to complete the season sweep, having beat AAMU in Huntsville, 80-62, on Feb. 2.
Alabama A&M, 3-12 in road games against Bethune-Cookman, is looking for its first win in Daytona Beach since a 62-60 victory on Feb. 19, 2022.
