Bulldogs Take Winning Streak on the Road

THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University women's basketball team returns to the road one final time during the regular season as the Bulldogs will visit Florida A&M on Thursday and close out the weekend at Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.

Tip-off for Thursday's contest is set for 5:30 p.m. (CT) from the Al Lawson Center, while Saturday's game is set for 2 p.m. (CT) from Moore Gymnasium. Both games will be streamed on SWAC TV.

Alabama A&M continues to have a one-game lead in the conference standings as the Bulldogs have won 12 consecutive games since opening league play with a loss. AAMU is seeking conference sweeps of Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman, which would push the winning streak to 14 straight.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 95-55 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday, which avenged their only SWAC loss. Alabama A&M will look to improve on its 6-5 road mark with the two games in Florida.

Florida A&M, which is 6-4 at home this season, is riding a two-game losing streak after dropping a pair of games in Mississippi last week. The Rattlers are 2-2 over the last four games and will look to get back into the win column on Thursday.

Bethune-Cookman, which is 4-4 in home games this season, will play host to Alabama State on Thursday before welcoming Alabama A&M to Moore Gymnasium on Saturday. The Wildcats saw their three-game winning streak come to an end last Saturday, with a 66-57 road loss to Alcorn State.
