THE HILL | Alabama A&M University will serve as the host site for the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) East Regional, welcoming the league's top bowling programs to AMF Pin Palace Lanes this weekend for a pivotal postseason qualifying event in the conference championship pathway.
The SWAC East Regional will bring together eight teams vying for advancement to the SWAC Bowling Championship in late March. The three-day event will feature baker-style competition, highlighting the conference's growing depth and national competitiveness in collegiate bowling.
"We're excited to host the SWAC East Regional and showcase Alabama A&M's commitment to championship-level events," said Alabama A&M head bowling coach
James Moore. "This is a great opportunity for our student-athletes to compete at a high level and for Huntsville to welcome the SWAC bowling community."
AMF Pin Palace Lanes, one of North Alabama's premier bowling facilities, will provide a championship-caliber environment for the regional. The league's eight teams – Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Florida A&M, Grambling State, Jackson State, Prairie View A&M, Southern and Texas Southern – will be competing at the event.
Competition begins at 9 a.m. for all three days of the event.
