Alabama A&M Heads to Rochester Regional for NCAA Bowling Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | The Alabama A&M University women's bowling team will appear in the 2026 NCAA Women's Bowling National Collegiate Championship as the 19-team bracket was unveiled Wednesday afternoon. 
 
Alabama A&M, fresh off its first Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) bowling championship since 2014 and fourth overall, will compete in the Rochester Regional against Dominican (NY) in the opening round.
 
The Bulldogs battled out of the elimination bracket to defeat Jackson State in the semifinals to advance to the 2026 SWAC Women's Bowling Tournament championship match as the AAMU rolled past rival Alabama State, 4-1, to clinch the league's automatic bid. 
 
Alabama A&M (48-73) will face off against Dominican (NY) on Thursday, April 2 at 9 a.m. in Rochester, N.Y. Dominican went 70-32 this season and defeated Felician, 2-0, in the CACC Championship.
 
The 2026 NCAA Championship features a 19-team double-elimination tournament. Split into four regions, including one site with four teams and three with five squads, take place Thursday, April 2 to Saturday, April 4. The four winners advance to the NCAA Championship finals in Parma Heights, Ohio at Yorktown Lanes Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11.
