THE HILL | Football is officially back on The Hill as the Bulldogs will begin their annual slate of spring practices on Friday at Louis Crews Stadium.
Alabama A&M begins its path to the 2026 season, which features six home games inside Louis Crews Stadium, with 15 practices this spring, culminating with the annual Maroon & White Spring Game scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 11.
"We're excited to get back on the field and begin the work that defines who we are as a program," Alabama A&M head coach
Sam Shade said. "Spring football is about building our foundation — developing discipline, competition, and accountability. Our players have attacked the offseason the right way, and now it's time to translate that preparation onto the field as we continue building a championship culture here at Alabama A&M."
The Bulldogs recently completed a 2026 signing class of 39 student-athletes, including 30 mid-year signees. Approximately 90 players will be available to compete in the spring.
Alabama A&M will begin the 2026 season at the annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge in Atlanta, Ga. as the Bulldogs will meet Howard. The game marks just the second time AAMU will be playing in the annual event and the first time since 2014. Also, the Bulldogs will be meeting the Bisons for the second time in program history.
