THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University football team seeks back-to-back victories Saturday as the Bulldogs welcome Tennessee State to Louis Crews Stadium for The Legacy Series. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. The game will be televised on SWAC TV.
Saturday marks the 31st meeting between Alabama A&M and Tennessee State in a series that began in 1930. The programs met last season for the first time since 2008, with the Bulldogs earning a 23-21 victory in Nashville, Tennessee.
Alabama A&M (1-1) started fast last weekend in a 38-23 victory over Miles College. The Bulldogs scored on their first three possessions to build a 17-3 advantage with just under 10 minutes remaining in the second quarter. The Maroon and White finished with 471 yards of total offense, including 279 on the ground against the Golden Bears.
Tennessee State (0-2) enters the weekend seeking its first victory after opening the season with losses to Jackson State and No. 3 Georgia. Last weekend, the Tigers fell 63-3 to the Bulldogs in Athens, Georgia.
The game will air live on SWAC TV, with Mo Carter (play-by-play), Tolly Carr (analyst) and
Thai Floyd (sideline) on the call. Fans can also listen on WJAB 90.9 FM, with Chauncy Sanders handling play-by-play and
Maurice Brooks serving as analyst.
