FRESHMAN (2019):
Broke his way into a starting role in the receiving core as a freshman … played in 11 games for the Bulldogs, finishing in the top ten in the SWAC in all receiving statistical categories … finished 2nd in the conference in receptions (59), receptions per game (5.4) and yards per game (91.3) … finished 3rd in yards (1,006) and touchdowns (11) … Voted as a Jerry Rice Award Finalist (STATS FCS Award) … Named Freshman of the Year (Phil Steele), Freshman of the Year (SWAC Coaches/SIDs), FCS Freshman All-American (HERO Sports) and 1st team All-SWAC (Phil Steele) All-SWAC (SWAC Coaches/SIDs) … was also voted SWAC Newcomer of the Week three times on the year. Morehouse: Caught two passes for 22 total yards in the season opener. Arkansas- Pine Bluff: Recorded first career multiple score game … hauled in nine receptions for 142 yards and two touchdowns … scored in the first quarter on a nine-yard catch and later on in the third with a 28-yard reception … also returned four kicks for 48 yards on the day. North Alabama: Caught two catches for 42 yards against the Lions. Central State: Caught three passes for 56 yards against the Marauders … scored on a 35-yard reception in the second quarter on the day. Texas Southern: Scored the game-winning touchdown on a 12-yard score in overtime … also caught a 57-yard pass for a score in the second quarter … finished the game with four catches for 88 yards. Grambling: Recorded four receptions for 87 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown, the only touchdown for the Bulldogs. Alabama State: Caught one pass for 18 yards on the day. Southern: Recorded third multi touchdown game of the season … hauled in seven passes for 128 yards … caught touchdown passes for six and 60 yards … efforts earned SWAC Co-Newcomer of the Week honors. Jackson State: Set a new career-high in receiving yards with 203 on nine carries and two touchdowns against the Tigers … scored on 14-yard and 54-yard passes, both in the second half of the game… earned SWAC Newcomer of the Week honors. Alcorn: Caught nine passes for the second straight week for the Bulldogs, finishing with 112 yards on the day. Mississippi Valley: Added another nine-catch performance to the season resume against the Delta Devils … gained 106 yards receiving and scored on a 47-yard reception in the opening quarter of the season finale.
