FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SUBDIVISION (FCS)
ALL-AMERICAN SELECTIONS
One of the standards in college football since at least 1987, the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) All-American Team represents the best players at that level of football.
Since moving to that level in 1998, Alabama A&M has had seven players earn that honor, beginning with future National Football League (NFL) star Robert Mathis on the First-Team in 2002. It would take until 2007 before the next Bulldog would join him on that august list but when they did it would be a pair with safety Al Donaldson on the Second-Team and defensive end Jeremy Maddox as an Honorable Mention.
Kicker Jeremy Licea would joint that group a year later with an Honorable Mention selection while defensive end Corey Hart added a Third-Team recognition in 2011. It would be eight seasons before that number grew again as running back Jordan Bentley landed on the Third-Team in 2019 and teammate and quarterback Aqeel Glass joined him on the Third-Team in Fall 2021.
ABOUT THE FCS ALL-AMERICAN TEAMS
Over the years the FCS All-American Teams have been presented by The Sports Network and now Stats Perform, with each year honoring the best players at the FCS, and previously I-AA, level.
