Louis Whitlow enters his third season as the head baseball coach at Alabama A&M University.

During his first season as interim head coach, Whitlow led the Bulldogs to a 10-40 overall record and a 2-27 record in Southwestern Athletic  Conference (SWAC) play in 2025.

In his second season, the Bulldogs had an overall record of 10-44 and a record of 4-26 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play in 2026. 

 Whitlow is no stranger to the Alabama A&M baseball program, having served as the hitting and batting coach.
 
Whitlow, who has more than 15 years of coaching experience, has contributed to teams at Travel Showcase Baseball, Monrovia Middle School, Adult League Baseball, and Alabama A&M University Baseball. His 10-plus years in specialized team training include private coaching for hitting, pitching, fielding, and catcher training.
 
Whitlow, who is a 1999 graduate of Huffman High School in Birmingham, Ala., is a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He also graduated from Alabama A&M with a Bachelor Degree in Communications, with a minor in Marketing. He later advanced his expertise with a dual Masters Degree in Management and Human Resources from Florida Institute of Technology, along with an international certification in personality studies.
 
Off the field, Whitlow enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his three sons, Lamir, David, baby Ace, and his supportive wife, Tiffany. He remains an active advocate for the City of Huntsville, showing dedication to the community that he has cherished since his days at Alabama A&M University.
