Jeremiah “Ty” Hill begins his first season as an assistant baseball coach at Alabama A&M University.
Hill comes to Alabama A&M after graduating from Jackson State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in 2022 and is just nine hours shy of receiving a Master’s of Science Degree. In addition, he was a member of the Dean’s List, boasting a 3.5 GPA.
Prior to attending Jackson State, Hill earned an Associates of General Students Degree from Wallace State Community College where he was on the Dean’s List with a 3.8 GPA.
Hill earned several accolades as a player, including being a 2023 Ferris Trophy Finalist and Dick Howser Trophy nominee. In addition, he was inducted into the Mississippi Hall of Fame in 2023. An NJCAA All-Academic honoree, Hill was selected three-time Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) All-Conference and All-Academic Teams, while earning the Gulf Coast Classic Most Valuable Player. Also, he was named the 2021 SWAC Player of the Year, Hitter of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.
Hill, who graduate from Wallace State Magna Cum Laude, was a youth baseball coordinator from 2019-21 and conducted hitting and fielding private lessons from 2019-24. In addition, he served as a volunteer during the Sanderson Farms Golfing Championship.
