Alexandra McIntyre has big shoes to fill as she enters her second season as the Bulldogs’ bowling coach.

Fortunately, the shoes are her own.

In 2014, her first season as head coach, McIntyre guided Alabama A&M to the Southwestern Athletic Conference championship. It was the Bulldogs’ third SWAC title and first since 2010.

A 2008 graduate of Alabama A&M, she was the 2006 NCAA national champion runner-up and was First Team All-SWAC in 2005-07 and SWAC Player of the Year in 2006.

McIntyre was named Huntsville Bowler of the Year 2009-12 and was First Team All-City 2009-12.

In 2011-12, she set the state record Individual Women’s High Series with an 841 total and has held the state record Season Women’s High Average since 2009.

In her career, she has bowled six 300 games and four 800 series.

An economics graduate with a 3.96 overall GPA (top graduate for the School of Business), she works for the Army Contracting Command in Huntsville as a contract specialist.
