Adam begins his 4th season at Alabama A&M and a second stint at AAMU. From 2019 through Spring 2021, he was the Defensive Graduate Assistant working with the Defensive Line and Special Teams. After winning the 2021 Spring SWAC & HBCU National Championship, Adam accepted a coaching position as the Defensive Ends Coach at Alabama A&M University in July 2022.
Goggans is a native of Pine Grove, California, where he attended Amador High School in Sutter Creek and would go on to attend Fullerton College before transferring to Lindenwood University-Belleville in Belleville, IL, in 2012 as a part of the inaugural football team. Goggans finished his playing career in the 2015 season and graduated in May 2016 with two bachelor's degrees (Psychology & History).
Before attending Alabama A&M University, Goggans worked in distinct roles across the country. He began his Coaching Career at Montana Tech in 2016 as the Offensive Intern-Tight Ends coach. He was also a part of an outright Frontier Conference Championship and NAIA Quarter Final Playoff team. After Tech, Goggans worked at Ottawa University-Arizona in 2017, assisting at the program as they started their football program. After OUAZ, Goggans was hired as the Defensive Backs Coach at Franklin Pierce University by Alabama A&M Alum and present Tuskegee Defensive Coordinator Rashad Watson as they began the transition process into a D2 program in the 2018 season. In the spring of 2019, Goggans was hired at Kentucky Christian University as the Linebackers Coach but ended up leaving in the Summer of 2019 for the Graduate Assistant Position at Alabama A&M. After completing his master's degree in Kinesiology, Goggans accepted a job as the Special Team Coordinator and Linebackers Coach at Holmes Community College in Goodman Mississippi for the Fall 2021 season.
