Alondras Strong enters his second season with the Bulldogs in 2024, his first season as the running backs coach.
Strong began his coaching career serving as an offensive graduate assistant, working with the wide receivers and quarterbacks for a majority of the 2023 season before being promoted to running backs coach in February (2024). He played a role in the development of the offense during the season, which saw the Bulldogs average 29.6 points per game (second in the SWAC), 374.6 yards of total offense per game (third in the SWAC), and 40.7 percent on third-down conversions (first in the SWAC).
A native of Huntsville, Ala., Strong has a wealth of experience in the SWAC.
Strong is no stranger to the rivalry with Alabama State as he played for the Hornets from 2020-22.
Prior to attending Alabama State, Strong spent two seasons in Birmingham, Ala. at UAB.
He began his prep football career at Hazel Green High School in Hazel Green, Ala., before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. for his senior season. While in Bradenton, Strong was apart of the IMG National Team that went 8-0 during the 2017 season and finished No. 2 overall in the Maxpreps High School Football National Rankings.
