Richard Wilson is in his 15th season as the kickers coach at Alabama A&M.
Wilson is no stranger to “The Hill.” He has spent thirteen seasons as Alabama A&M’s kicking coach, coaching three All-SWAC kickers: Chance Wilson, Jeremy Licea, and Spencer Corey. He also coached All-SWAC punter Rashad Cylar.
A Huntsville, Ala. native, Wilson has spent most of his life involved with sports in the Rocket City. In high school, Wilson was a standout tennis player at Lee High School, and in 1993, he returned to his alma mater to work as an assistant football and tennis coach.
After spending eight seasons as Alabama A&M’s kicking coach from 2007-2014, Wilson returned to Lee High School as an assistant football and tennis coach for three seasons.
Wilson returned to the Alabama A&M football staff during the offseason after Connell Maynor was hired as the Bulldogs’ new football coach.
