Marcus Merriweather enters his second season as the Student Assistant for the Bulldogs.

Prior to his role on staff, Merriweather spent his undergraduate years as a member of the bulldog's basketball team under coaches Donnie Marsh and Willie Hayes. Merriweather served as a bulldog for three years. Upon arriving at Alabama A&M University, Merriweather spent his first year of college playing for Shelton State Community College, who was ranked the #4 JUCO program in the nation. 

Accepting the Graduate Assistant position from the current Head Coach Dylan Howard, duties and responsibilities became more & more important. Merriweather began participating in daily coaching interaction with the team and working with players individually. This included conducting workouts on the court, assisting with game preparation, as well as team scouting for upcoming opponents.
Merriweather is a native of Pinson, AL where he attended John Carroll Catholic High School, and Pinson Valley High School.
