2019-20 (REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN):
After returning from injury from the previous season, Saunders appeared in 23 games for the Lady Bulldogs, starting 16 contests … Averaged 3.6 points and 3.1 rebounds in 16.7 minutes per contest … Posted a block in six different games on the year … Recorded a season-high two steals in 18 minutes against Alabama State (Jan. 18) … Matched her career-high for minutes played in a 31-minute outing against Prairie View (Feb. 3) … Dished out a career-high three assists at Mississippi Valley (Feb. 10) ... Recorded season-highs of 12 points and nine rebounds in 22 minutes against Alcorn (Feb. 22).

2018-19 (FRESHMAN):
Saunders showed promise for the Lady Bulldogs during her abbreviated 2018-2019 season ... While appearing in only seven games, Lauren averaged 7.5 points and 6.0 rebounds a game. ... Recorded a season high 14 points with four free throws made against Tennessee State (Nov. 3) and registered a near double-double of eight points and nine rebounds against Lipscomb (Nov. 16) … Had four points and five rebounds in a career-high 31 minutes of play at Kansas (Nov. 18) … Scored eight points and seven rebounds along with a career-high three steals at UAB (Nov. 28), followed by six points and seven rebounds at Murray State (Dec. 1) before falling to a season-ending injury.
