HIGH SCHOOL

• A three-star wide-out according to 24/7Sports and played at Noxubee County High School
• During his freshman season, he helped the Tigers to a state championship runner-up
• As a sophomore, he finished with 17 catches for 257 yards, with two touchdowns as he earned SUPER 22 District Best Receiver Award
• During the junior campaign, he tallied 35 catches for 586 yards, with five touchdowns and received the SUPER 22 District Offensive Playmaker Award as the Tigers finished second in the state
• As a senior, Welch registered 81 catches for more than 1,500 yards, with 22 touchdowns
• Earned First-Team All-State, SUPER 22 All-District
• In addition, he was selected to play on the BB North-South All-Star Team, MS-AL All-Star Team and helped the Tigers to a state runner-up appearance
• Also lettered in track and baseball, where he was a three-time Best Sprinter and earned most valuable player on the diamond
• A three-time Superintendent Award recipient, two-time Principal Award winner and a member of the National Honor Society
• Chose Alabama A&M over Mississippi Valley State
