Following his high school graduation, Devins continued his education and athletic pursuits at Fort Valley State University in Georgia. He later attended Lagrange College on a baseball scholarship, further showcasing his dedication and talent.

Devins found love and companionship in his marriage to Carol Sledge, and they have been happily married for a decade. Together, they are proud parents to eight children, ranging in age from 35 to 13 years old. In 2000, they decided to make Huntsville, Alabama their home.

In his professional life, Devins initially pursued his passion for golf and worked as an Associate PGA Golf pro for three years at the Sunset Landing Golf Course. However, his journey took a spiritual turn, and he currently serves as the pastor of The Body of Christ Church, where he guides and supports his congregation.

Outside of his pastoral duties, Devins maintains a diverse range of hobbies and interests. He enjoys playing golf, exploring new destinations through travel, and finding solace in fishing and hunting. Additionally, Devins is passionate about mentoring the next generation, striving to help them develop into better individuals.
