Marcellus Heflin begins his first year as a graduate assistant in the compliance office at Alabama A&M University.
Heflin most recently served as the Compliance & Operations Intern for the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), where he monitored student-athlete eligibility and compiled reports for both the Conference and the NCAA. He also supported the planning and execution of conference championships across multiple sports, coordinating event logistics with teams, vendors, and staff to ensure seamless operations.
Heflin is a Richmond, Virginia native who is a driven and dedicated Sports Management professional with a strong background in athletics compliance, academics, and event management. He joins the Bulldogs staff serving as a Compliance and Academic Graduate Assistant, where he will be working towards his MBA.

Heflin earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in Marking from Old Dominion University. Throughout his academic and professional experiences, he has developed a passion for collegiate athletics administration, with a particular interest in NCAA compliance and organizational leadership.
