Raven Gray is entering her first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach and Assistant Technical Coordinator with the Alabama A&M University volleyball program. A former collegiate student-athlete, Gray brings experience competing at multiple levels of collegiate volleyball along with a strong academic background in exercise science, sports medicine, healthcare, and technology.
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Gray began her collegiate volleyball career at Winston-Salem State University, where she competed for three seasons. After graduating from WSSU, she transferred to Big Ten Conference member Purdue University, where she competed during her final season of collegiate eligibility. Her experience at both the HBCU and Big Ten levels provides her with a unique perspective on student-athlete development, preparation, and the demands of high-level collegiate volleyball.
Gray earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with minors in Sports Medicine and Spanish from Winston-Salem State University. She later earned a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Quality Improvement from Purdue University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Alabama A&M University, further strengthening her background in technology and data-driven analysis.
At Alabama A&M, Gray assists with several areas of the program, with an emphasis on technical operations, analytics, and program operations. Her responsibilities include assisting with practice and match data, statistical analysis, scouting preparation, video and performance analysis, and the day-to-day operational needs of the Bulldogs.
As she begins her collegiate coaching career, Gray is focused on continuing to learn and grow while using her background in athletics, sports performance, and technology to support the development of Alabama A&M’s student-athletes and the overall success of the Bulldog volleyball program.
