Rebecca Hewitt

Becca Hewitt is a native of Claxton, Georgia where she attended Pinewood Christian Academy in 2009 and was a standout softball player. Primarily a pitcher but played every position, she was a five-year starter earning All-Region and All-State all five years.

She played four years of collegiate softball at South Georgia State, East Georgia State, Coastal Georgia, and the University of South Carolina Beaufort. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management from Georgia Southern University where she also attained her Master's Degree in Kinesiology.

Hewitt began her coaching journey in high school with the Evans County Recreation Department and as a volunteer coach for Pinewood Academy's Junior Varsity Softball team. After college, she joined Superior Fastpitch Academy, instructing pitching and hitting while coaching the 12u and 14u teams.

In 2015 Hewitt became an assistant coach at East Georgia State College. She accepted the head coach position at EGSC one year later, where she led her team to a 78-46 record during her tenure form 2016 to 2019. In 2019, she took over the softball program at Middle Georgia State University, achieving a 106-60 record. Her final season saw the team’s best performance with a 43-14 record, a Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Tournament win, and an automatic berth to the NAIA Nationals.

In the 2023-2024 season Hewitt took over at Reinhardt University and again led her team to a 40+ win season, top 25 ranking, regular season and conference tournament championship, which brought her college coaching career win total to just over 200 wins.
