Frank Davies

Frank Davies

Frank Davies has been the women’s soccer coach at Alabama A&M since 1999. Entering this season, he is 92-165-18 with the Bulldogs.

He has led the soccer team to Southwestern Athletic Conference championships in 2003 and 2007. The team was SWAC runnerup in 2004 and 2006 and semi-finalist in 2005 and 2009. The Lady Bulldogs last captured the Eastern Division crown in 2012. The team’s one NCAA playoff appearance under Davies was in the 2007 season.

Prior to A&M, Davies was a head coach of both the boys and girls’ soccer programs at Huntsville High School in 1998. While managing both squads, Davies led the boys to a state semifinals appearance.
 
Davies also spent time at the head of the Martin Methodist College programs from 1995-97. Davies, while the leader of the men at Martin Methodist, took the initiative to start the women’s program at the Tennessee school. In two years, he took the women’s team to the conference playoffs. During his tenure, Davies also led the men to the NAIA TransSouth Conference playoffs, where they finished as semifinalist. His two-year record with the Martin Methodist men's team was 13-20.

In 1990–1991, he was the Assistant Coach at the University of Alabama in Huntsville his alma mater, where he was responsible for player development and on-field coaching with an emphasis on forwards and midfielders.

Davies is a graduate of UAH with a bachelor of science in engineering and a master's in mathematics.
