NORMAL – The Alabama A&M volleyball team fell to Kennesaw State University in three games on Saturday night in the T. M. Elmore Gymnasium. The Owls won the match 25-17, 26-24, and 29-27.
A&M kept it close in the last two sets, but could not overcome KSU’s accurate hitting. In the third and final set, KSU took control and led the entire way. The Lady Bulldogs tried to find some momentum, but the Owls pulled away for the third set victory. Kennesaw, which improved to 13-9 on the season, was led by Sabrita Gulley’s 15 kills and Alyssa Langs’ 14 kills.
As a team, the Owls recorded 52 kills on 129 attempts and committed 22 errors. The Lady Bulldogs finished with 40 kills on 116 attempts and had 14 errors.
The Lady Bulldogs will return to conference play when they travel to face the Mississippi Valley Devilettes on Monday, October 25. Game time is set for 7 pm.
