Atlanta, Ga. - Sophomore Clarissa Moore was named to the Georgia Tech Courtyard Mariott Classic All-Tournament team this past weekend. The Bulldogs dropped games against UAB, Georgia Tech, and Indiana, however. A&M volleyball will look to capture its first win when it competes at the Jaguar Classic hosted by South Alabama next weekend.
UAB 3, A&M 0
Moore led the offensive attack for A&M with a team-high nine kills. Karensa Beckford finished with five kills and nine digs. Christa Rogers had 16 assists off 26 Bulldog kills. Amie Goodwin recorded two out of the four service aces for A&M.
Georgia Tech 3, A&M 0
As a team, the Bulldogs recorded 19 total kills. Goodwin and Moore led the offense with six kills, while Rose Corneille recorded nine digs.
Indiana 3, A&M 0
Goodwin led the offense with five kills, while Ashley Forman established a defensive presence with a team-best eight digs. Forman also assisted on eight of the Bulldogs' total 15 team kills. Beckford and Moore recorded four kills each.
The Bulldogs will face South Alabama in the first game of the Jaguar Classic on Sept. 3 beginning at noon.
