Hart named National Defensive Lineman of the Week

NORMAL – Bulldog defensive lineman Corey Hart earned the College Football Performance Award National defensive lineman of the week for his talents versus Alcorn State University.

Hart earns his sixth collegiate honor of the season for totaling 10 tackles (7 solo, 3 assisted) three sacks and four tackles for a loss of 29 yards.

The Marshall University transfer is third on the team with 46 total tackles (29 solo, 16 assisted), 25 tackles-for-loss, 13 sacks, 10 quarterback hurries, two fumbles recovered and a force fumble during his senior season. He is currently tied for first in the nation in tackles for loss and tied for second in sacks.

Alabama A&M defeated Alcorn State 28-14 for their seventh straight victory of the season.
