Box Score NORMAL – Alabama A&M’s kicker and punter, Chance Wilson, was named the National Punter of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards for his accomplishments during the season opener versus Hampton University.
Wilson earns his first collegiate award of 2011 and his third overall by the CFPA. The junior kicker / punter hit two field goals, one for 34 yards and the other a career high 41 yarder. He also finished with three punts for 148 yards, two over 50 yards and two inside the 20 yard line. His longest was 53 yards.
Chance and the Bulldog football team will travel to Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, September 10, to face the Jaguars of Southern University in both team’s SWAC opener. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
